One issue I have noticed is that sometimes the songbook gets "confused" and stops working as expected (though, IIRC, this was with the "old" Songbook, and not with SongbookBB). It can be a lot of typing to unload plugins, load the songbook then show the songbook again. One thing you can do is to set up keyboard shortcuts on the quickslot bar to execute these commands.
For example, the following commands will put the required musical commands onto the left 3 slots of the shift row of your quickslot bar:
/shortcut 37 /plugins unload
/shortcut 38 /plugins load songbookBB
/shortcut 39 /songbookBB toggle
So, if you have to fix things in a hurry during a concert, you can do it by just clicking these three commands in order to reset your songbook, instead of typing these commands out in the chat window. See this article for the appropriate numbers to substitute for 37, 38 and 39 above, to put these commands into different locations on your quickslot bar.
That's....actually rather creative. Now I just have to remember to change to my other command bar, because I'm out of room on my default (2 songbooks, my potions, my Moors potions and insignia, three stances...they add up)
This can be a life saver during a show, true. But if you did not do that, don't panic - remember the plugin manager in the system menu (leftmost click in the bar below, there the uppermost entry. try and memorize where it is). Once you are in the plugin manager, it is two clicks to unload all plugins and reload SongbookBB.
But, you still have to navigate there, true. What to do when you want to follow Bri's advice, but lack free buttons (like everyone)? Look, there are two little arrows directly right of the main shortcut buttons. Click one, and notice you have two complete sets of buttons at your disposal! Three, if you count the war steed config there. Have fun.
and Malvy & Mirvie on Crickhollow, Belegaer and everywhere!
Right you are, Malv. That's exactly what I do for concerts (and events in general): fill one of the three skill slot sets entirely with all sorts of things I use from time to time, including things like what Bri mentioned (though I forgot to add SongbookBB, so thanks Bri :) ).
Also I think it's nice to have around some special dance emotes, like e.g. " /dance_dwarf2 puts his arms behind his back and begins to move his feet in a fast cross-step pattern." instead of the generic output 'begins to dance like a Dwarf'. :)
